Job Description

Rocky Mountain Surgery Center in Salida, CO is seeking a Radiology Tech PRN to support outpatient surgical procedures. You will perform high-quality intraoperative and diagnostic imaging, operate C-arm and radiographic equipment, ensure accurate positioning, and adhere to radiation safety and infection control standards. Collaborating closely with surgeons, anesthesia, and nursing staff, you'll support efficient case flow, maintain equipment readiness, document exams in PACS/EMR, and provide compassionate, patient-centered care in a fast-paced, safety-focused ambulatory surgery environment. Responsibilities Perform high-quality intraoperative and diagnostic radiologic imaging for surgical and outpatient procedures Operate and troubleshoot C-arm, fluoroscopy, and radiographic equipment in the OR and procedure areas Ensure proper patient positioning and imaging techniques while maintaining patient comfort and safety Apply radiation safety principles and follow all regulatory and facility policies Maintain sterile and aseptic technique in the surgical environment Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and nursing staff to support efficient case flow Document exams accurately in PACS/EMR and maintain required records Conduct routine equipment checks and coordinate service needs as required Follow infection prevention, safety, and quality standards of the surgery center Provide patient-centered, respectful care aligned with facility values Required Skills Diagnostic radiology imaging Operating C-arm and fluoroscopy equipment Radiation safety and ALARA principles Patient positioning for surgical imaging Sterile and aseptic technique PACS and EMR documentation Equipment quality control and troubleshooting Infection prevention in surgical setting Communication with surgeons and OR staff Patient care and monitoring during procedures
