Job Summary Under the direction of a physician, the Medical Assistant/X-Ray Technologist performs routine diagnostic radiographs and assists with minimally invasive procedures while exercising independent judgment and technical expertise. This role combines radiologic technology and medical assisting responsibilities to provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment. The ideal candidate is flexible, team-oriented, and willing to cross-train and float between locations as needed to support operational demands. Key Responsibilities Radiologic Technologist Duties Perform routine diagnostic X-rays in accordance with physician orders and established safety standards. Operate, adjust, and maintain radiographic imaging equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images. Explain imaging procedures to patients and position patients appropriately for examinations. Exercise independent judgment and technical proficiency while adhering to radiation safety protocols. Monitor equipment performance and promptly report malfunctions or maintenance needs. Medical Assistant Duties Obtain and document patient medical histories and perform patient assessments. Record vital signs and prepare patients for examinations and procedures. Assist physicians during examinations and minor procedures. Collect, prepare, and process laboratory specimens. Perform basic laboratory testing. Administer medications as directed by the physician. Draw blood and perform venipuncture (training available if needed). Perform electrocardiograms (EKGs). Administer tuberculosis (TB) tests. Remove sutures and change dressings. Process prescription refill requests as directed by the physician. Perform urine drug screens (UDS) and Breath Alcohol Testing (BAT) (training provided). Additional Responsibilities Maintain exam rooms by ensuring adequate supplies and cleanliness. Demonstrate exceptional customer service and compassionate patient care at all times. Support clinic operations by cross-training and floating to other locations as needed. Adapt to a fast-paced, high-volume clinical environment while maintaining accuracy and efficiency. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Current Florida State Radiologic Technologist License required. Minimum of two (2) years of related experience required. Strong clinical, technical, and patient care skills. Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking abilities. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with physicians and clinical staff. Work Schedule Three (3) 12-hour shifts per week. Schedule may include a combination of 6-, 8-, and 12-hour shifts based on operational needs. Rotating weekends and holidays required. Willingness to float between clinic locations as needed.
