Non-Exempt Position Summary The Radiologic Technologist is responsible for providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services while supporting the delivery of safe, efficient, and patient-centered care. This position serves as the organization's primary radiology resource and functions as a cross-trained Medical Assistant during periods when radiology services are not needed. The Radiologic Technologist works collaboratively with providers and clinical staff to improve patient access, quality outcomes, and operational efficiency.

• Quality Staff X-Ray Services Perform diagnostic X-ray imaging procedures as ordered by a provider.

Operate radiologic equipment safely and efficiently while ensuring proper positioning and exposure settings. Ensure patient safety by following radiation safety protocols, ALARA radiation safety principles, and using protective equipment. Maintain and occasional schedule maintenance of imaging equipment to ensure optimal performance. Administer and review images for clarity and quality before transmitting them for Radiologist interpretation. Participate in closing the loop on ordered diagnostic results with patients.

Clinical Support Responsibilities When Required:

Prepare patients for examinations, including taking vital signs and recording medical histories. Assist providers during exams and minor procedures Administer injections, perform phlebotomy, and conduct diagnostic tests as directed by a provider. Clean and sterilize medical equipment and exam rooms between patients. Collect and prepare laboratory specimens for testing. Communicate patient results and correspondence from providers in compliance with health center procedures. Patient Care and Support Promote exceptional customer service and create a welcoming, respectful, and compassionate experience for every patient. Prepare patients for imaging or lab procedures, explaining the process and addressing any questions. Ensure a comfortable and supportive environment for patients during procedures. Assist with obtaining informed consent for procedures when required. Compliance and Documentation Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and other healthcare regulations. Follow infection control protocols to maintain a safe and clean environment. Participate in incident reporting and safety expectations. Participate in internal and external audits as needed. Maintain all required certifications and complete mandatory education and competency assessments within required timeframes. Collaboration and Teamwork Work closely with providers, nurses, and other clinical staff to ensure seamless patient care. Communicate effectively with the healthcare team regarding imaging results.

• Participate in daily clinical huddles and care coordination activities
• Assist other providers and clinical teams as patient volume and operational needs require.
• Support organizational initiatives designed to improve patient access, quality outcomes, and patient experience. Other Duties As Assigned
• Perform other duties, projects, and responsibilities as assigned by the Clinical Manager or organizational leadership in support of patient care and organizational operations.

Qualifications Education and Certification Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program (required). State licensure or certification as a Radiologic Technologist (required). Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required). Experience Minimum of 1 year of experience in radiology (preferred). Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and diagnostic imaging software. Skills and Competencies Strong technical skills in operating radiologic equipment. Physical and Work Environment Requirements Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching. Ability to lift and move equipment or patients weighing up to 50 pounds. Work in a clinical environment with exposure to radiation, infectious diseases, and chemical agents. Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends, as needed.

Pay:

$24.00 - $31.00 per hour
