1 Description American Traveler is hiring a Radiologic Technologist for a large hospital setting performing general diagnostic radiology, including portable exams, with ARRT certification required. Details Diagnostic Radiology department in a large hospital setting Focus on general diagnostic radiography including portable imaging as a primary responsibility Uses RIS, HIS, CIS, PACS, and SMS systems for documentation and image transmission Schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM 40 hours per week, 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week No on-call requirements No weekend requirements Must be available to work holidays as needed Requirements Accredited Associate's Degree or completion of an accredited Radiologic Sciences Program required ARRT certification in Radiography required BLS certification required Must maintain registry status and continuing education requirements annually No prior experience required Skilled in radiographic image quality, patient identity verification, patient history assessment, and pregnancy status verification Ability to assess patient physical condition and respond to emergency situations License required if applicable Additional Information Responsibilities include performing general diagnostic radiology exams, ensuring accurate patient demographic and exam data, and transmitting QA-ed images to PACS Reviews radiographic orders and images to ensure accuracy and appropriateness of exams Maintains a clean, safe work environment and documents incidents as needed Assists patients requiring extra attention and ensures patient safety throughout procedures Shares technical knowledge with staff and students within the department Troubleshoots equipment and protocol issues as part of daily responsibilities
