Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Certified MRI Technician to join our dynamic medical imaging team. In this vital role, you will operate an advanced MRI scanner to produce detailed images that assist in accurate diagnosis and patient care. Your expertise in medical imaging, patient safety, and equipment operation will ensure high-quality results while maintaining a compassionate approach to patient interactions. Responsibilities Prepare patients for MRI procedures by explaining the process, ensuring comfort, and addressing any concerns to promote a positive experience. Operate MRI scanners with precision, following established protocols to acquire high-quality images for diagnostic evaluation. Maintain strict adherence to patient safety regulations and aseptic techniques during all procedures to prevent contamination and ensure safety. Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to review images, perform diagnostic assessments, and facilitate timely reporting. Ensure proper use of Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) for storing, retrieving, and managing medical images securely. Follow equipment safety procedures during operation and troubleshooting of MRI scanners and related medical equipment to prevent accidents or malfunctions. Skills Proficiency in using MRI scanners Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and radiology principles essential for accurate image acquisition and interpretation. Skilled in vascular access techniques, IV insertion, and maintaining patient safety throughout imaging procedures. Familiarity with medical equipment operation, including PACS systems and other diagnostic radiology tools. Excellent understanding of patient care practices, including patient safety regulations and aseptic techniques to ensure optimal outcomes. Ability to communicate clearly with patients and healthcare team members while demonstrating empathy and professionalism. Basic life support (BLS) certification is required to respond effectively in emergency situations involving patients undergoing imaging procedures.
