We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled X-ray Technologist to join our Radiology team. The X-ray Technologist is responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures in a clinical setting. The ideal candidate will ensure the safety and comfort of patients while producing high-quality X-ray images for accurate diagnosis and treatment. This role involves working closely with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities :
Perform diagnostic X-ray imaging procedures in compliance with physician orders and established protocols . Prepare and position patients for X-rays to ensure proper imaging, including applying appropriate radiation safety measures . Operate and maintain X-ray equipment and ensure that images are clear, accurate, and of diagnostic quality. Ensure patient safety by applying lead shielding and minimizing radiation exposure. Work collaboratively with physicians and radiologists to ensure the proper interpretation of diagnostic results. Maintain accurate patient records and input imaging data into electronic medical records (EMR) systems. Assist with patient care by providing clear instructions and ensuring comfort during imaging procedures. Conduct routine checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any technical issues. Adhere to infection control and safety protocols in the radiology department. Stay up to date on new radiologic technology and techniques . Assist in training or mentoring new staff or students as necessary.
Qualifications :
Certification as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT certification required). State licensure (as required by state law). Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program (associate's or bachelor's degree preferred). Strong knowledge of anatomy , radiographic positioning , and imaging techniques . Proficiency with X-ray equipment and related technology. Excellent communication skills and the ability to provide compassionate care to patients. Attention to detail and ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic medical records systems.
Physical Requirements :
Ability to lift, move, and position patients as needed. Must be able to stand for long periods and operate heavy equipment. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations calmly.
