We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our healthcare team at Total Orthopedics and Sports Medicine , Syosset. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures, ensuring patient safety, and providing high-quality images for accurate diagnosis. As an integral part of our medical team, you will work in a collaborative environment that prioritizes patient care and advanced medical technology. Duties Perform X-Ray examinations on patients as per physician orders, ensuring adherence to safety protocols. Operate diagnostic radiology equipment, including but not limited to X-Ray machines. Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process and addressing any concerns. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control standards. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses through high-quality imaging. Document patient information and imaging results accurately in the medical records system. Stay updated on advancements in medical imaging technology and participate in ongoing professional development. Qualifications Proficient in diagnostic radiology techniques with a strong understanding of anatomy knowledge. Alternating weekend coverage (10 AM - 6 PM) at either the Syosset or Massapequa location. Two Mondays per month dedicated to performing fluoroscopy procedures. Experience assisting with Genicular Artery Embolization (GAE) procedures. Perform orthopedic X-ray examinations. Maintain fluoroscopy QC/QA documentation and logs. Flexible schedule with the ability to provide coverage on additional days as needed for surgical procedures. Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform basic troubleshooting of imaging equipment. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare team members. Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations. Commitment to providing compassionate care while ensuring patient comfort during procedures.
