Mercy is seeking an Advanced Radiologic Technologist to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team on weekends. In this role, you will perform advanced diagnostic imaging procedures, ensure high-quality images, and prioritize patient comfort and safety. You'll collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to support accurate diagnoses and treatment plans. Responsibilities Perform advanced diagnostic radiologic procedures according to physician orders and established protocols on weekend shifts. Prepare, position, and educate patients to obtain high-quality images while ensuring safety, comfort, and dignity. Operate, calibrate, and perform basic troubleshooting and quality control on radiologic imaging equipment. Apply radiation safety practices and ALARA principles to minimize exposure to patients, self, and staff. Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and providers to support accurate diagnosis and timely patient care. Verify patient identity, review medical history, and document procedures accurately in the electronic medical record. Assist with specialized and complex imaging or fluoroscopic/interventional procedures as credentialed. Maintain compliance with HIPAA, infection prevention, regulatory standards, and departmental policies. Serve as a resource for less experienced technologists during weekend shifts and support efficient workflow. Participate in ongoing education, competency validation, and process improvement initiatives within the department.
