Role:
As a Radiology Tech I in the Radiology department, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality imaging services that assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. Your primary responsibility will be to perform Radiography procedures, ensuring that images are captured accurately and efficiently. You will work closely with radiology techs and other healthcare professionals to provide essential information for patient care. This position requires a strong commitment to patient safety and comfort, as well as adherence to established protocols and standards. Ultimately, your work will contribute significantly to the overall health outcomes of patients within our healthcare facility.
Minimum Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program. Basic life support (BLS) certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
Additional certifications in other imaging modalities. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Responsibilities:
Perform Radiography procedures on patients, ensuring high-quality imaging. Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and answering any questions. Maintain and operate imaging equipment, ensuring it is functioning correctly and safely. Document patient information and imaging results accurately in the electronic health record system.
Skills:
The required skill of diagnostic imaging is essential for performing accurate imaging procedures that aid in patient diagnosis. Daily, you will utilize your technical skills to operate radiology equipment, ensuring that images are clear and meet diagnostic standards. Strong communication skills will be necessary to effectively interact with patients, explaining procedures and addressing their concerns. Additionally, organizational skills will help you manage patient records and documentation efficiently, contributing to a smooth workflow in the radiology department.
