Are you ready to join a family friendly atmosphere? At Bristol Medical Associates of Rhode Island, you will be a vital member of our radiology team. Our goal is to provide quality care to our patients using excellent patient care, digital equipment, and teamwork. The radiologic technologist will perform routine x-ray examinations and DEXA scans in accordance with MARI policies, practices, and procedures under the direct supervision of the radiology manager and treating clinician. This role requires efficient one-on-one patient care while keeping up with our walk in and scheduled studies. The RT ensures that every patient has a welcoming visit and is treated with excellent patient care.
Radiologic Technologist duties:
Prepare patients for radiologic exams. Escorts patients to and from walk in. Use verbal and or written instructions to assist patients in positioning body parts to be radiographed. Explain exam and observe patients to ensure patient care, safety, and comfort during exam
Operate radiologic equipment to produce images acceptable to be read by the treating clinician and our radiologists. Adjust exposure, time, and distance according to your patient's habitus.
Practice ALARA, and radiation safety to ensure safety to patients and staff members.
Ensure equipment is cleaned and remains in working order. Report equipment malfunctions to manager
Ensure the workflows are followed and all radiology reports cross over to PACs. Report any technical malfunctions to manager.
Follows procedures and completes required documentation related to patients x-ray visit.
Learn and know how to upload x-ray images to a CD for patient being transferred to another facility.
Education level: high school diploma (GED)
Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology and applicable certification be the state in which employed
Registered with the ARRT and has active and valid license

CPR/FIRST AID
certified Looking for full-time Monday through Friday 8-5 with weekend rotation (one weekend every two months).
Pay:
$35.00 - $41.00 per hour
