Responsibilities Perform diagnostic radiologic procedures following physician orders and Houston Methodist protocols Position patients safely and accurately to obtain high-quality images Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain radiologic equipment and imaging software Verify patient identification, screen for contraindications, and explain procedures to patients Apply radiation safety principles to protect patients, self, and staff Accurately document procedures and enter data in the electronic medical record Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and care teams to support timely diagnosis and treatment Maintain exam room cleanliness, supply levels, and regulatory compliance Participate in quality assurance, safety initiatives, and continuing education Provide compassionate, patient-centered care aligned with Houston Methodist values Required Skills Diagnostic radiography Patient positioning Radiology equipment operation Radiation safety PACS/RIS and EMR systems Image quality assessment Infection control procedures Venipuncture/basic IV contrast support Basic life support (BLS) Regulatory and accreditation compliance
