Activities & Community Engagement Coordinator Felix Ventures Foundation City of Industry, CA Job Details Part-time $20 an hour 22 hours ago Benefits Flexible schedule Qualifications Community networking activities Experience working with high schoolers Driver's License Driving Working with students Organizational skills Time management Full Job Description Felix Ventures Foundation is seeking an energetic, organized, and community-minded Activities Coordinator to help develop meaningful experiences for elementary, middle, and high school students. This position focuses on community partnerships, community service, cultural programming, social media, and student activities. The ideal candidate is creative, comfortable building relationships, enjoys working with young people, and can take an idea from concept to a successfully completed program or event. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain partnerships with nonprofits, businesses, cultural institutions, community organizations, colleges, and other community partners. Research and create new cultural, educational, recreational, and community service opportunities for students. Plan and coordinate cultural trips, museum visits, performances, community events, volunteer projects, and other enrichment activities. Manage FVF social media accounts and create engaging content highlighting programs, students, partnerships, and upcoming opportunities. Coordinate activity logistics, including reservations, transportation, registration, permission forms, schedules, supplies, and participant communication. Recruit and coordinate volunteers and community partners for activities and special events. Mentor student officers and involve students in planning, promoting, and leading activities. Represent Felix Ventures Foundation at community, school, and partnership events. Participate in assigned weekend activities, trips, and occasional overnight programs. Assist with other FVF programs and activities as needed. Qualifications Strong communication, organization, and relationship-building skills. Experience with social media and digital content creation. Comfortable reaching out to organizations and developing new professional relationships. Ability to independently research, develop, and coordinate programs and events. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously. Experience working with youth preferred. Experience in nonprofit programs, community outreach, recreation, education, event planning, marketing, public relations, or a related field preferred. Valid driver's license, reliable personal vehicle, and ability to travel to schools, events, and program locations. Schedule & Physical Requirements This is not a traditional Monday-Friday desk position. FVF programs include school-based activities, community events, weekend trips, and outdoor experiences. Applicants must have schedule flexibility and be willing to participate in weekend and occasional overnight activities. Candidates must also be able to: Drive to different program and activity locations. Participate in cultural, community service, recreational, and outdoor activities. Required Clearances & Training Selected candidates must complete required FVF and school district clearances and certifications, which may include Live Scan, TB clearance, Youth Protection training, First Aid/CPR, ServSafe, and other required program training. You should be someone who can say, "This would be an amazing opportunity for our students," figure out who to contact, build the relationship, organize the details, and make it happen. Creativity, initiative, professionalism, flexibility, and genuine enthusiasm for creating opportunities for young people are essential to this position.
