We currently have the following Full-Time position open on our team: Activities Supervisor Requirements Must pass state required physical, and TB test. Must be fingerprinted and free of conviction. Must be able to communicate effectively in English, verbally and in writing, receive written and oral instructions and possess good interaction skills. Must be able to safely perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation. Prior experience prefered. Responsibilities Responsible for the organization and operation of the Atterdag Care Center Activities department including all aspects of activities program and Volunteer services. Shall develop a varied activity program encompassing lower and higher functioning residents, which is staffed and equipped to encourage the participation of each resident to meet their physical, social, emotional, spiritual needs and interests along with group participation needs. Responsible for all required documentation and written communication per state and federal regulations. Supervises Atterdag Care Center activities staff with duties including: assigning tasks to activities staff, supervises work evaluates and counsels department staff members and interviews applicants for Activities department. Participate in annual budget process and maintain spending within the set budget for year. Drives company vehicles for activities, maintain valid California driver's license, follow regulations and maintain paperwork required by Department of Transportation. Acts as a liaison between the facility and outside groups and individuals who provide volunteer assistance. Organize and publish resident activities monthly calendar. Writes clear measurable intervention on each individual, as well as, concise documentation that reflects resident's response and outcome toward goals and communicates problems and concerns in a timely manner. Participates as a member of the care planning team to review resident care plans and MDS documents. Must have California's 36 hour Activity Leader Certification or be willing to obtain. Have experience in patient activities program in a health care setting or Occupational Therapist, Art Therapist, Music Therapist, Recreational Therapist or Certified Occupational Therapist.
