Job Description

Pyramid, Inc. is seeking a Performing Arts Coordinator to work with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This is a supervisory position that also allows you to use your creative and artistic skills for very rewarding outcomes with our students. Pyramid is a non-profit Adult Day Training Center that builds its program around the performing and visual arts. Qualification Requirements Related four-year degree or equivalent experience. Two years of performing arts-related work experience. One year supervisory experience. Valid Florida driver's license. Successful Level II background screening. (

Ability to instruct in at least three performing arts-related skills (i.e., theatre, music, dance, etc.), with strong emphasis on musical theatre Responsibilities Lead the development of the performing arts program and use the arts to create holistic enrichment in the lives of Pyramid students. Supervise performing arts instructors. Ensure the safety, well-being, health, comfort, development & self-esteem of Pyramid students Teach performing arts classes. Maintain required paperwork, interfacing with families and supports, developing programming Provide personal care as needed Develop community relations and organizing events Support fundraising ventures and create community partnerships & support with the support of the director. Create opportunities for students to perform in the community and prepare for mainstage annual performances. The person in this position will be willing to work special events after normal business hours, contribute to fundraising ideas and dedicated to changing the lives of individuals with disabilities through the arts. The starting salary for this position is $50,000, higher based on experience. Full benefits include group health insurance, matching 401(k), paid time off/holidays.
