We are seeking a dedicated Activity Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in care environments and a passion for enhancing the quality of life for residents through engaging activities and events. Duties Plan and implement recreational activities for residents in a long term care setting Assist in organizing events, outings, and programs to stimulate residents' physical and mental well-being Support residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed Collaborate with the care team to create personalized activity plans Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff to ensure a positive experience Provide support in memory care and dementia care programs Contribute to creating a warm and welcoming environment for residents Experience Prior experience in a care, nursing home, or long-term care setting is preferred Knowledge of recreational therapy principles and practices Familiarity with event planning and coordination Ability to engage and communicate effectively with older adults Understanding of ADLs and the importance of maintaining independence for residents This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of residents while working in a supportive team environment.
