Activities Director - Assisted Living & Memory Care We are looking for candidates with experience as an Activity Director or Assistant Activity Director in a senior living environment Our assisted living and memory care community is known for something special: people want to live here. We are looking for an Activities Director who can continue that tradition by bringing energy, creativity, compassion, and positivity to our residents and team every single day. This is not a "sit behind a desk" role. We are searching for someone who is upbeat, fun to be around, highly engaging, and passionate about creating meaningful moments for seniors—especially those living with memory loss. The right person will be a true team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment, builds strong relationships with residents and families, and creates a warm, lively atmosphere throughout the community. Position Overview As the Activities Director, you will lead and coordinate a dynamic life enrichment program for our Assisted Living and Memory Care residents. You will design engaging daily activities, special events, outings, celebrations, and therapeutic programs that encourage socialization, purpose, joy, and connection. You will play a key role in maintaining the positive culture that sets our community apart and helps make our community a place residents and families are excited to call home. What You'll Do Plan and lead a creative, engaging activities program tailored to the interests and abilities of Assisted Living and Memory Care residents Create a fun, energetic, and welcoming environment throughout the community Lead group activities including music, games, exercise, crafts, cooking, themed events, socials, outings, holiday celebrations, and cognitive engagement programs Develop meaningful one-on-one interactions and personalized engagement for residents with dementia or cognitive decline Work closely with nursing, caregivers, families, and leadership to support residents' emotional, social, and physical well-being Encourage participation and build strong relationships with residents and families Coordinate volunteers, entertainers, vendors, and community partnerships Maintain activity calendars, participation records, and compliance documentation Assist during activities as needed to ensure residents feel included, supported, and successful Bring fresh ideas, enthusiasm, and creativity that continue to make our community stand out What We're Looking For A positive attitude and upbeat personality Someone energetic, compassionate, patient, and genuinely fun to be around A strong team player who works well with all departments Experience in Assisted Living, Memory Care, Long-Term Care, or senior living activities preferred Knowledge of dementia care and the ability to engage residents at varying cognitive levels Excellent communication and relationship-building skills Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple events and schedules Creative thinker who enjoys bringing new ideas to life Passion for enriching the lives of seniors and creating meaningful experiences Why Join Our Community?
