Assisted Living Activities Supervisor

Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Assisted Living Activities Supervisor to lead engaging and meaningful activities for residents in a senior living environment. In this role, you will coordinate and implement a variety of recreational programs designed to enhance residents' quality of life, foster social connections, and promote overall well-being. Your energetic leadership will inspire residents to participate actively in their community while ensuring a safe, inclusive, and vibrant atmosphere. Responsibilities Plan, develop, and execute diverse activity programs tailored to residents' interests, abilities, and care needs, including memory care and dementia-specific activities Coordinate resident events such as social gatherings, outings, celebrations, and therapeutic activities that promote engagement and community involvement Build strong rapport with residents by understanding their preferences, histories, and individual needs to foster a welcoming environment Lead and supervise activity staff and volunteers, providing guidance on program delivery and resident interaction Maintain detailed documentation of activities, resident participation, and progress reports for care teams Collaborate with nursing staff, caregivers, and family members to ensure activities align with residents' care plans and health requirements Manage schedules efficiently to ensure consistent programming while adapting to changing resident needs or unforeseen circumstances Requirements Proven experience in assisted living or long-term care settings with a focus on senior or geriatric populations Strong background in event planning, recreational therapy, or program development within senior living facilities or similar environments Knowledge of Alzheimer's care, dementia support strategies, memory care techniques, and working with individuals with disabilities Excellent communication skills for engaging residents, coordinating with team members, and maintaining client (resident/family) communication Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for documentation, scheduling, and reporting purposes Demonstrated ability to build meaningful rapport with seniors while fostering an inclusive community atmosphere Leadership skills to supervise staff effectively and promote teamwork in a fast-paced environment Join us in creating vibrant days filled with joy and connection! Pay:
From $26.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
