Serenity Care, Inc. is looking for a reliable and hardworking Assistant Activities Director who is bilingual in Russian or Ukrainian to join our PACE Organization. Duties & Responsibilities:
The Assistant Activities Director functions as the Activities Director in the absence of the Activities Director and is responsible for the planning and implementation of all program activities as well as the supervision of Program Aides and directing the center Volunteer Program. Other duties include,
Ongoing assessment of the activities needs of participants and development of the activities portion of the participant care plan within five days of admission and evaluation of the same with progress note at quarterly intervals.
Developing, in conjunction with the occupational therapy consultant, activity programs the meet the individual needs of each participant.
Planning a monthly program of activities
Coordinating the activity schedule with program staff
Writing, at least quarterly, notes in each participant's record on his/her participation in activities.
Participating in the quarterly review of each participant's Care Plan
Participating in orientating, training and conducting performance evaluations of the activity program aides, as needed.
Recruiting and placing program volunteers
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent
Experience working in a social or recreational program preferred but not required
Desire to work with frail, older adults is required
