Essential Functions:
Assists with the planning, developing, organizing and implementing of community resident activity programs. Directs community activity programs. Collaborates with the Director of Memory Care to plan activities. Assists in developing a budget to support activities and assists with monitoring expenses to stay within budget. Recommends policies, procedures and practices that will support resident spiritual, social, recreational and emotional needs. Functions as an advocate for residents and their families. Provides direct services to families through communication, education and support. Acts as a role model for staff with regard to professionalism and appropriateness in resident and family interactions. Provides regular briefings with the Director of Memory Care regarding department functions. Maintains appropriate records, correspondence and documentation of the department. Tracks resident engagement in activities and debriefs families and Director of Memory Care. Supports family education programs and promotes family involvement in activities which support resident spiritual, social, recreational and emotional needs. Maintains and communicates schedule of varied activities to appeal to different interests and capabilities and promotes participation. Maintains craft and recreational supplies to support resident independent engagement in crafts and hobbies. Creates and fosters an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest and positivity in leading activities and staff. Visits individual residents with activities, crafts and projects to actively engage all residents either singly or in groups. Maintains local library resources with broad appeal to residents. Supervises appropriate student internships and volunteers. Performs other duties as assigned. The pay range for this role is: 18 - 20 USD per hour(LSL, Hopkins Creek)
