In this vital role, you will develop, coordinate, and oversee a variety of recreational activities tailored to meet the diverse needs of seniors, including those with memory care and dementia. Your enthusiasm and dedication will foster a vibrant community atmosphere, promote social interaction, and support residents' emotional and physical well-being. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors while working within a dynamic team environment. Duties Plan, organize, and execute a wide range of resident-centered activities, including social events, recreational therapy sessions, and special programs that stimulate mental and physical activity. Collaborate with nursing staff, caregivers, and family members to develop personalized activity plans that address individual resident needs and preferences. Coordinate resident events such as outings, celebrations, and themed activities to promote community engagement and resident satisfaction. Maintain detailed records of activity participation, resident progress, and program outcomes to ensure quality standards are met. Foster strong relationships with residents by building rapport through meaningful interactions, encouraging participation, and supporting emotional well-being. Manage schedules efficiently to ensure timely delivery of programs while assisting residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) when needed. Lead team members in program development efforts, providing guidance and training to ensure high-quality activity delivery aligned with best practices in senior care. Skills Proven experience in event planning, recreational therapy, or activity coordination within assisted living or nursing home settings. Strong understanding of Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory support programs, and geriatrics. Excellent communication skills for engaging with residents, families, staff, and community partners effectively. Ability to develop innovative programs tailored to seniors' interests and abilities while fostering social interaction. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for record keeping, scheduling, and communication purposes. Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing teams or supervising volunteers in senior living or long-term care environments.
