Details Macomb Correctional Facility - Lenox, MI Day shift $32.00/hr.

PTO Weekly Pay Recreational Therapist Responsibilities:

Plan, coordinate, and facilitate individual and group recreational therapy activities such as yoga, calisthenics, board games, sports, crafts, sewing, painting, and cooking. Assess individual needs through observation, review of documentation, and functional assessments. Organize, maintain, and manage therapeutic materials, equipment, and program supplies. Accurately document all therapy sessions and activities in the electronic medical record (EMR).

Recreational Therapist Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree in Recreational Therapy Certified Therapeutic Recreational Specialist (CTRS) with valid certification in the state of Michigan - preferred Basic Life Support (BLS) certified.. Ability to design and adapt therapeutic activities for diverse patient needs. Experience facilitating individual and group therapy sessions. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to assess progress and adjust to support patient goals. Organizational and time-management skills.
