Wellness & Lifestyle Assistant (Life Skills Mentor) Hallmark Homecare Ann Arbor, Brighton, Livonia, Plymouth, MI - 3.8 Novi, MI Job Details Part-time $18 - $20 an hour 10 hours ago Qualifications Experience working with individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders Transporting special needs passengers Experience working with individuals with cognitive disabilities Personal transportation assistance Passenger pickup and drop-off Full Job Description Seeking a positive, reliable individual to spend time with a 28-year-old male, who has Down Syndrome, very friendly, and an outgoing personality. The primary responsibility is accompanying him to the gym 3 days per week and working out alongside him. This is not a personal trainer position . We are seeking someone who enjoys being a workout partner, mentor, and companion, providing encouragement, social interaction, and support in maintaining an active and healthy lifestyle. The ideal candidate is patient, dependable, physically active, and enjoys building meaningful relationships. Experience working with individuals having intellectual or developmental disabilities is a plus, but a positive attitude and genuine interest in mentorship and companionship are most important. The candidate would provide round trip transportation between the client's home and gym. Mileage will apply.
