Job Description

Overview We are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Assisted Living Activities Director to lead engaging programs and foster a vibrant community for our residents. In this vital role, you will design, coordinate, and oversee a variety of recreational activities tailored to meet the diverse needs of seniors, including those with memory care requirements. Your energetic approach will help enhance residents' quality of life, promote social interaction, and support their physical and emotional well-being. Responsibilities Develop and implement a comprehensive activity program that promotes socialization, cognitive stimulation, physical activity, and emotional well-being for residents. Coordinate resident events, outings, and recreational therapies that cater to individual interests and abilities. Build strong rapport with residents through personalized engagement and attentive communication, ensuring their preferences are reflected in activities. Lead team efforts in planning and executing daily activities, ensuring safety and inclusivity for all participants. Manage scheduling of programs, track participation, and adjust plans based on resident feedback or changing needs. Collaborate with staff, families, and healthcare professionals to optimize resident care plans and enhance overall community experience. Qualifications Proven experience in assisted living or long-term care settings, with a strong background in senior care or geriatrics. Demonstrated expertise in event planning, recreational therapy, dementia care, and memory support programs. Familiarity with working with individuals with disabilities or special needs within a senior living environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for scheduling, documentation, and communication purposes. Excellent communication skills to effectively engage residents, families, staff, and community partners. Ability to lead teams confidently while fostering a positive and inclusive atmosphere. Prior experience developing programs tailored to aging issues or cognitive impairments such as Alzheimer's disease is highly desirable. Pay:
