Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking an energetic, compassionate, and organized Activities Director . In this role, you will design, implement, and oversee a diverse activities program tailored to the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive needs of our residents. The ideal candidate is a creative programmer who can foster a warm, vibrant community culture while maintaining compliance with state and federal healthcare regulations.

Key Responsibilities Program Development :
Plan, schedule, and execute a monthly activities calendar featuring daily events including arts, crafts, music, cognitive games, holiday celebrations, and community outings.
Resident Transportation :
Drive the facility van or bus to transport residents safely to off-site community events, shopping trips, and excursions.
Care Planning & Documentation :
Complete resident assessments upon admission, update individual care plans, and accurately log daily resident participation.
Volunteer & Staff Management :
Recruit, train, and supervise activity assistants and community volunteers.
Budgeting :
Manage the department budget effectively, ordering supplies and booking external entertainment responsibly.
Qualifications & Skills Licensure :
Must possess, or be willing to obtain within 60 days of hire, a valid Class E Driver's License to operate the facility vehicle.
Certification :
Have or obtain Activity Director Certification; facility will sponsor course.
Experience :
Worked in senior living, long-term care, or skilled nursing facilities preferred but not required.
Communication :
Exceptional interpersonal skills to build rapport with residents, families, and staff. Schedule Full-time, 40 hours per week Monday to Friday, with occasional weekends/evenings for special events
Pay:
$35,360.00 - $39,520.00 per year
