Job Description
Clinical:
\- Evaluates and establishes treatment plan for all patients referred to Recreational Therapy \
- Performs leisure counseling and skill building \
- Remain competent in: Evaluation/Assessment skills; Planning and implementation of group and individual activities; Leisure adaptive equipment \
- Attends and provides continuing education inservices \
- Works variable hours and shares responsibility for weekend coverage of recreation/activity programs.
Budget:
\- Remains within monthly budget when planning recreational activities
Other:
\- Must be competent in use of computer for documentation purposes
Job Knowledge:
- Bachelor's Degree in Therapeutic Recreation required
- Certified as Therapeutic Recreation Specialist required
- CPR certification required
- Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to work with/treat adult and geriatric patients. _We believe a career is more than just a career
