Position Summary:
The Life Enrichment Manager leads the development and implementation of dynamic, person-centered activity programs designed to meet the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive needs of our residents. This role is key to enhancing the quality of life for our seniors while overseeing a team of assistants and volunteers to ensure a high standard of programming.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and lead individual and group activities that encourage resident participation and engagement. Create and distribute a monthly calendar of events and activities to residents, families, and staff. Maintain a robust volunteer program Plan and implement seasonal and holiday-themed events, special days, and monthly celebrations. Celebrate resident birthdays, anniversaries, and other milestones in meaningful ways. Oversee and schedule Life Enrichment Assistants to ensure adequate staffing and coverage. Drive residents to and from scheduled outings using the company van. Order and manage inventory of supplies related to activities and programming. Collaborate with other departments to support whole-community events and initiatives.
Requirements:
Experience in activity programming or life enrichment in a senior living, memory care, or related setting preferred. Strong organizational and leadership skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Comfortable driving a company van (valid driver's license and clean driving record required). Creative, energetic, and compassionate approach to working with older adults, especially those with memory impairment.
