Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and energetic Activities Assistant to join our dedicated team in creating vibrant, engaging, and meaningful experiences for our residents. In this vital role, you will design and coordinate a variety of recreational activities that promote social interaction, mental stimulation, and overall well-being for seniors. Responsibilities Plan, organize, and facilitate engaging resident activities, including social events, games, arts and crafts, music therapy, and outings that cater to diverse interests and abilities Develop and implement innovative programs tailored to residents' needs, including memory care and dementia-friendly activities Build strong rapport with residents through personalized interactions and attentive communication Coordinate resident events by managing schedules, supplies, and logistics to ensure smooth execution Collaborate with team members to assess individual resident preferences and develop customized activity plans Maintain detailed records of participation, progress, and feedback to continually enhance program quality Requirements Strong communication skills with the ability to connect effectively with seniors and their families Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs in a caregiving or therapeutic setting Demonstrated ability to develop engaging programs that promote socialization and mental stimulation Prior experience in long-term care or home & community care settings is highly desirable Join us in creating a lively community where every resident feels appreciated and empowered!
