Duties Develop, implement, and oversee a diverse calendar of resident-centered activities, including social events, outings, and therapeutic programs aligned with residents' interests and cognitive abilities Coordinate resident events that promote socialization, mental stimulation, physical activity, and emotional well-being Collaborate with team members to assess individual needs and preferences, ensuring activities are accessible and enjoyable for all residents Build strong rapport with residents by engaging in meaningful conversations and understanding their personal histories and hobbies Manage scheduling of activities efficiently to maximize participation while maintaining flexibility for residents' changing needs Assist with daily living activities (ADLs) as needed to support residents' participation in programs Maintain detailed records of resident participation, feedback, and program outcomes to continually improve offerings Qualifications Proven experience in event planning within long-term care settings; experience in nursing homes or geriatrics is highly preferred Strong background in recreational therapy, Alzheimer's care, memory care, or dementia care programs Knowledge of senior care best practices including working with individuals with disabilities and those requiring specialized memory support Excellent communication skills to connect effectively with seniors, families, and team members Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for scheduling, documentation, and communication purposes Demonstrated ability to develop engaging programs that foster resident rapport building and social interaction Leadership skills to coordinate team efforts and manage program logistics effectively Compassionate approach with a focus on aging issues counseling and holistic senior care strategies Join us to lead vibrant activities that enrich lives!
