• Job Summary
• The Activities Coordinator plays a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for residents by coordinating and overseeing recreational programs and social events within senior care facilities.
• Responsibilities
• Develop and implement engaging activities to meet the physical, emotional, and social needs of residents
• Create a monthly activities calendar that offers a variety of programs suitable for seniors
• Coordinate outings, events, and entertainment both on-site and off-site
• Encourage resident participation in activities to promote socialization and well-being
• Collaborate with staff to integrate activities that support residents' daily living skills (ADLs)
• Assess individual resident needs and preferences to tailor activities accordingly
• Experience in senior care, assisted living, or long-term care settings
• Knowledge of recreational therapy principles and techniques
• Understanding of dementia care and aging issues
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage schedules effectively
• Background in social work or related field is beneficial
• Familiarity with home community care practices is a plus
