We are seeking an energetic, creative, and compassionate Activities Coordinator to create meaningful experiences for our residents and make every day special. This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing engaging daily, weekly, and monthly activities that promote socialization, wellness, independence, and quality of life. The ideal candidate is highly organized, enjoys working with seniors, thrives in a team environment, and can turn ordinary moments into memorable experiences. Key Responsibilities Activity Planning & Coordination Develop and maintain engaging weekly and monthly activity calendars. Plan a variety of recreational, educational, social, spiritual, and wellness programs. Ensure activities appeal to residents with diverse interests and abilities. Coordinate special celebrations, seasonal events, birthdays, holidays, and themed activities. Create opportunities for resident participation and feedback when developing programs. Activity Execution Lead and facilitate activities, events, and outings. Coordinate all logistics, supplies, decorations, entertainment, and volunteers needed for successful events. Encourage resident participation and engagement. Ensure activities are conducted safely and in accordance with resident needs and facility policies. Special Events & Community Engagement Plan and coordinate special events both inside and outside the community. Organize resident outings, community partnerships, and volunteer opportunities. Build relationships with local organizations, entertainers, churches, schools, and community groups. Assist with family events, open houses, and community celebrations. Team Collaboration Work closely with the management team to develop programs that enhance resident satisfaction and quality of life. Collaborate with nursing, caregiving, dietary, maintenance, and administrative staff to ensure successful event planning and execution. Communicate upcoming activities and events to residents, families, and staff. Administrative Duties Prepare and distribute monthly activity calendars. Maintain activity records, attendance logs, and program documentation as required. Manage activity supplies and stay within approved budgets. Assist with marketing and social media content related to resident activities and events when needed. Manage budget related to monthly activity needs. Qualifications Experience in activities, recreation, event planning, senior living, hospitality, education, or a related field preferred. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Creative, enthusiastic, and self-motivated. Ability to lead groups and engage residents of varying abilities. Proficient with Microsoft Office and basic computer programs.
