Job Description

Job Overview Join our dedicated team as a Mental Health Group Home House Staff, where your energy and compassion will make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals facing mental health challenges. In this vital role, you will provide supportive supervision, foster a safe and nurturing environment, and assist residents in their journey toward stability and growth. Your proactive approach and positive attitude will help create a community where residents feel valued, understood, and empowered to thrive. Duties Supervise residents to ensure safety, adherence to house rules, and engagement in daily activities. Assist residents with personal care routines, medication management, and daily living skills. Facilitate therapeutic activities including art therapy sessions to promote emotional expression and healing. Support residents in addressing gender issues counseling needs, fostering an inclusive and respectful environment. Monitor residents' mental health status and communicate observations to clinical team members for ongoing care planning. Maintain accurate documentation of resident progress, incidents, and daily activities in compliance with program policies. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement individualized care plans that incorporate psychopharmacology insights when applicable. Skills Strong understanding of mental health conditions and therapeutic approaches, including art therapy techniques. Knowledge of psychopharmacology principles related to medication management for mental health treatment. Ability to provide sensitive counseling on gender issues, promoting diversity and inclusivity within the community. Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with residents, families, and team members. Compassionate demeanor combined with the ability to remain calm and proactive in challenging situations. Organizational skills for maintaining detailed records and following procedural protocols. Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or overnight as needed.
