Job Description

Activity Director (Confidential) A senior living community is seeking a compassionate, organized, and energetic Activity Director to lead and oversee a comprehensive resident activities program. The Activity Director is responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing engaging activities that promote residents' physical, social, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual well-being. This individual will work closely with residents, families, volunteers, and the interdisciplinary team to create meaningful experiences that enhance quality of life. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record Previous experience in activities, recreation, senior living, or a related field preferred Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills Essential Responsibilities Plan, coordinate, and facilitate a variety of resident activities based on individual interests and preferences. Develop and distribute monthly activity calendars. Manage the activities program within established budget guidelines. Recruit, train, and coordinate volunteers. Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and resident assessments as appropriate. Ensure all activities comply with applicable federal, state, and local regulations. Observe and report changes in resident condition to the appropriate clinical staff. Maintain inventory of activity supplies and equipment. Provide transportation for residents to community outings and appointments as needed. Foster positive relationships with residents, families, staff, and community partners. Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional demeanor at all times. Perform other duties as assigned. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to sit and use a computer as needed. Ability to lift up to 15 pounds. Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle.
