Responsibilities Responsibilities:

The following duties are representative of this position and are not intended to be all-inclusive. Additional responsibilities may be assigned. Supervise RTC mentors on the assigned treatment team in the completion of duties and adherence to administrative and programmatic policies and procedures. Report staff or program concerns to the Program Director as appropriate. Prepare staff schedules and complete assigned administrative functions. Conduct interviews, performance appraisals, and disciplinary action when needed in collaboration with the Program Director and administrative staff. Supervise students on the dorm, in school settings, during activities, and during off-dorm recreational activities, field trips, and outings. Develop, facilitate, implement, and supervise mentor activities associated with therapeutic milieu management, including life space interviewing, therapeutic community groups, crisis intervention, problem-solving interviews, group meetings, and daily living activities. Monitor and participate in programmatic activities, outdoor education, and recreation while ensuring consistent application of programmatic consequences with students. Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment through vigilant monitoring for dangerous situations and contraband. Serve as a positive role model for students and mentor staff. Participate in professional staffing and meetings to support consistent communication regarding treatment progress and student information among treatment team members and parents. Contribute to multidisciplinary case conference meetings and prescriptive treatment plan development. Document progress notes in a timely and professional manner and ensure documentation compliance among supervised staff. Assist the Program Director, Clinical Director, and Therapy Supervisor with development of new policies and procedures. Provide ongoing training, collaborative staff meetings, and communication regarding policy and schedule updates to promote consistency of care. Monitor and supervise mentor staff adherence to administrative and programmatic policies and procedures. Function as a liaison between mentor staff and other disciplines. Ensure tactful, harmonious, and professional interactions with staff, students, and the public while following all student policies and procedures. Demonstrate professionalism, good judgment, and emotional stability when working with staff, students, and the public. Exercise sound judgment and emotional stability when evaluating situations and making decisions, including during deadlines or unexpected stressful events. Participate on committees, in professional meetings, and in staffing's as needed to support program function. Actively participate in parenting trainings, workshops, and seminars. Carry out other duties as assigned to meet program needs.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

Background in family studies/social work/psychology (preferred, but not required). Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.

Experience:

Prior work experience demonstrating competency in exercising professional judgment and discretion in the execution and implementation of milieu management techniques and methodologies. Must be a Senior Manager with a minimum of one year of experience as a Mentor at EOSIS Solstice.

Certifications & Training:

Successful completion of all EOSIS Solstice module training and clinical courses required. Must complete a minimum of 20 hours of in-service training annually, including 8 hours focused on prevention and/or proper initiation and use of special treatment procedures. Initial certification for use of special treatment procedures must include 3 hours of didactic training and 1 hour of practical training.

Strong leadership, supervision, and staff development skills. Ability to manage and support a therapeutic adolescent environment. Knowledge of milieu management techniques, crisis intervention, therapeutic community groups, and daily living programming. Ability to train and supervise mentor staff with consistency and professionalism. Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary team members and contribute to treatment planning. Strong communication, documentation, problem-solving, judgment, and emotional stability skills. Ability to maintain safety, structure, accountability, and therapeutic consistency in a residential treatment environment.
