08/26/2026 Position Announcement Under the direction of the Director of Performing Arts and Event Marketing, the Performing Arts and Event Marketing Coordinator provides marketing and operational support for Utah Tech University live events and concerts. Areas of responsibility include marketing and audience engagement, department communications, artist hospitality and event coordination, and contract and grant administration. Responsibilities Assist in executing marketing strategies for department events across digital, print, social, and campus channels, including preparing promotional materials, digital content, and social media content consistent with established brand standards. Support tracking and reporting of marketing campaign performance and audience engagement metrics. Coordinate department communications, including event newsletters, patron and donor communications, announcements, recognition letters, and mailings, and maintain contact lists. Coordinate artist services and hospitality for various concerts and events and serve as the on-site point of contact for visiting artists, agents, and touring personnel. Track, file, and route department contracts, agreements, and related documents for review and signature. Support grant applications and reporting, including research, writing support, submission timelines, and post-award reporting. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Associate degree in an arts- or business-related field required; bachelor's degree preferred. An equivalent combination of college coursework and directly related experience will also be considered. Minimum of two (2) years of related experience required. A valid driver's license required, with eligibility to drive University vehicles. Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and deadlines. Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times when working with artists, celebrities, and touring personnel, including protecting private information such as travel, lodging, and contract details. Strong computer skills in word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and email; excellent customer service skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced event environment, both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions, with a variable schedule that includes evenings, weekends, and event days.
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
Marketing, box office, or production experience for a performing arts organization or presenting venue. Experience creating social media content, including short-form video, and familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud. Familiarity with artist hospitality, technical riders, and touring production practices. Experience with ticketing platforms, project management systems, event management systems, or university operating systems. Supplemental Information
POSITION DETAILS, COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Part-time hourly staff position (up to 29 hours per week), with a schedule concentrated around the performance season and event calendar. Hourly rate of $18.00-$24.00 depending on qualifications and experience.
