Resident Advocate / Activities Director

Job Description

Overview Join our team as a Resident Advocate / Activities Director, where you will play a vital role in enhancing residents' quality of life through engaging activities, personalized support, and compassionate care. This dynamic position combines program development, resident rapport building, and team leadership to create a warm, lively environment that promotes socialization, independence, and well-being for our residents. Alpine Meadow is 42 bed medicare and medicaid certified facility. TRT licensure required; Alpine Meadow will cover the cost of obtaining it for the right candidate. Prior Nursing home experience is preferred. Responsibilities Serve as liaison between residents, families, and facility staff/administration Investigate and help resolve resident/family complaints and grievances Attend and represent residents at care plan meetings Monitor for signs of abuse, neglect, or exploitation and report per mandatory reporting requirements Educate residents and families on their rights and available resources Assist with Medicaid/Medicare and other benefits navigation as needed Support conflict resolution between residents, roommates, or family members Plan, schedule, and lead a calendar of recreational, social, cognitive, and physical activities Assess residents' interests, abilities, and care plans to design individualized and group programming Coordinate outings, entertainment, holiday events, and volunteer/intergenerational programs Maintain activity documentation and participation records for care plans and state surveys Supervise activities staff and volunteers Manage activities budget and supply ordering Ensure programming complies with state/federal regulations (e.g., CMS requirements for meaningful activities) Join us in creating a lively community where seniors thrive! Pay:
$27.00 - $32.00 per hour
