Our Lifestyles Manager:

Plans, schedules and conducts lifestyle programs that provide physical, intellectual, social, emotional and spiritual opportunities for the residents. Attends Lifestyle supported functions and coordinates events. Plans appropriate programs for holidays and special events collaborating with other departments, the Lifestyle and Resident Services Director and Team members as needed. Includes decorating for the holidays. Supervises Lifestyle Coordinators in Assisted Living, Memory Care and Skilled Nursing and assigns staff coverage for events. Completes all annual staff performance appraisal forms, directly or through subordinates; delivers to Human Resources through department head by due date. Meets staff members on an ongoing and continual basis to review performance and provide feedback, guidance and instruction as needed. Prepares and organizes a calendar of events, submits the calendar to the Lifestyle & Resident Services Director for final approval. Posts and distributes the calendar. Communicates with family members about activity updates, changes and general outreach. Provides orientation to the Assisted Living, Memory Care and Skilled Nursing Lifestyle Departments for all new staff. Provides in service/trainings to the Assisted Living, Memory Care and Skilled Nursing Lifestyle teams. Maintains relationships with previous, current and potential activity vendors and organizations. Maintains a database of past and current events, including resident participation & satisfaction. Interacts with residents, guests and staff in an atmosphere of hospitality. Understands HIPAA regulations & maintains confidentiality. Engages & motivates residents to participate in diverse programs and activities. Promote the Mission, Vision and Values of Transforming Age in all areas of responsibility, and demonstrate commitment to Culture of Excellence and strategic goals. Performs other duties as assigned.

What you need to succeed:

One to Three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Activity professional certification (CTRS or ADC) Attain first aid training, dementia and mental health training, HIV/AIDS training, food handler's card and CPR certification within 30 days of hire. Knowledge of general interest and desire to meet recreational needs of older adults. Knowledge of federal, state and local regulations specific to activities. Advanced skills in recognizing physical, mental and emotional needs of residents and good judgement in making decisions about actions to be taken regarding these needs. Tactful, enthusiastic and courteous when interacting with residents, family and staff members. Excellent organizational, management and inter-personal skills. Ability to perform budget analysis/review with Lifestyle Director. Completion of a background check. Drug Test, Fingerprint, and TB Test may be required per state/local guidelines. This is a hands-on leadership role. To be successful in this position, the manager must be comfortable actively participating in activities on the floor. The ideal candidate balances managerial responsibilities with direct involvement in the day-to-day operations.
