Aspire Physical Recovery Center at Hoover is seeking an experienced and driven Director of Clinical Services (Director of Nursing/DON) to lead our nursing department. This is an opportunity for a nursing leader who wants more than a title. You'll partner closely with the Executive Director , Assistant Director of Clinical Services, physicians, therapy, pharmacy, and the interdisciplinary team to ensure patients receive exceptional clinical care while maintaining regulatory compliance and strong nursing operations. Most importantly, you'll build and lead a nursing team capable of delivering that standard consistently. What You'll Lead Direct and oversee daily nursing department operations Establish and maintain high standards of clinical care and patient safety Recruit, develop, mentor, and retain nursing leaders and frontline staff Provide leadership to the ADON, Unit Managers, Charge Nurses, CNAs, and other clinical team members Conduct clinical rounds and maintain a visible leadership presence throughout the facility Monitor changes in patient condition and ensure appropriate clinical follow-up Oversee nursing documentation and clinical record compliance Lead quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives Oversee infection prevention and clinical compliance efforts Monitor staffing, scheduling, and nursing department performance Identify clinical trends and implement corrective action when necessary Lead survey readiness and support successful regulatory outcomes Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members Communicate effectively with patients and families Develop staff through education, coaching, accountability, and recognition Promote a culture where excellent care and strong teamwork are the expectation The Leader We're Looking For You know that successful nursing leadership requires being visible, approachable, accountable, and willing to develop your team.
