Job Description

LTAC/Telemetry Registered Nurse (Travel)Position Overview The LTAC/Telemetry Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering safe, high-quality patient care within a long-term acute care setting. Using the nursing process and evidence-based practice, the RN provides assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care while ensuring compliance with state nursing regulations and facility policies. The RN demonstrates strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and leadership skills to support positive patient outcomes. Responsibilities include coordinating care, prioritizing patient needs, delegating tasks appropriately, and supervising support staff to ensure safe and effective care delivery. Key Responsibilities Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans Monitor and care for telemetry patients in an LTAC environment Deliver safe, patient-centered nursing care utilizing critical thinking and clinical judgment Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams Delegate duties appropriately based on staff competency and experience Supervise and support personnel involved in patient care Maintain clinical competency through ongoing education and professional development Required Qualifications Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) Current ACLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) Experience caring for patients with ventilators and tracheostomies (vent/trach) Strong clinical assessment and patient care skills Ideal Candidate Critical thinker with strong clinical judgment Effective communicator and team collaborator Adaptable in a fast-paced acute care environment Committed to delivering safe, quality patient care
