Job Description

Overview Kanawha Community Home is seeking a compassionate and dependable Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team for a part-time night position. This role consists of one 12-hour shift (4:00 PM-4:00 AM) each week and every fourth weekend . The ideal candidate is committed to providing high-quality, resident-centered care, works well independently, and enjoys being part of a supportive, family-oriented team dedicated to enhancing the lives of our residents. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive patient assessments including vital signs, physical examinations, and health histories to develop personalized care plans. Administer medications and injections accurately following prescribed protocols. Manage complex medical procedures such as IV infusions, catheterizations, wound suturing, and ventilator care with precision and confidence. Monitor patients' physiological status using telemetry systems and respond swiftly to critical changes in condition during emergencies or trauma situations. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care, discharge planning, and case management for diverse populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, behavioral health patients, and individuals with developmental disabilities. Document all patient interactions thoroughly within electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Cerner or Athenahealth, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Provide patient education on medication administration, disease management, nutrition, and self-care strategies to empower individuals in their recovery and ongoing wellness. Requirements Valid RN license in good standing with current state registration. CPR Certification Long-term care experience preferred but not required. Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills. Compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the healthcare team.
Pay:
$30.00 - $37.00 per hour
