Role Description The Infusion Nurse role at TheraHaven Staffing LLC is a part-time, on-site position based in Chevy Chase, MD. The Infusion Nurse will provide safe and effective infusion therapy, including medication administration, monitoring patient responses, and managing infusion-related complications. Day-to-day responsibilities include assessing patients before and during treatment, maintaining accurate clinical documentation, coordinating care with prescribing clinicians, and educating patients and caregivers on infusion procedures and home care requirements. The nurse will follow evidence-based protocols, adhere to infection control standards, and ensure compliance with all regulatory and facility policies. This role requires strong clinical judgment, clear communication, and a commitment to compassionate, patient-cente red care. Qualifications Demonstrated proficiency in Nursing, with an active and unencumbered RN license in the state of Maryland. Foundational knowledge of Medicine and Critical Care Medicine to safely manage complex infusion therapies and potential adverse reactions. Experience in Home Infusion or infusion clinic settings, including IV access, medication administration, and patient education on infusion care. Strong Direct Patient Care skills, including assessment, monitoring, documentation, and collaboration with interdisciplinary healthcare teams. Current BLS and preferably ACLS certification; experience with oncology, immunotherapy, or specialty infusions is a plus. Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical environment. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and adherence to infection control, safety, and quality assurance standards.
Required:
Previous infusion nursing or acute care experience and a commitment to ongoing professional development and evidence-based practice.
