Job Description
Pay:
$37.10 - $39.20 per hour #HIVI $5,000 Sign on bonus! New rates starting at $35.60 and increases with experience!RN Job Description:
The purpose of this position is to provide and coordinate nursing care in compliance with facility policies and procedures and to assess residents care needs followed by appropriate action. Purpose also involves primary skin care with emphasis on treatment and therapy of skin disorders of the residents in accordance with standard of nursing practice, regulations and as ordered by physician.QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be a Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) holding a current license by the State of Maine.
- Must have the ability to read, write in English and follow oral & written directions at a level necessary to accomplish this job.
- Must be able to relate positively and favorably to residents, families and staff and to work cooperatively with others…must be a good "Team Player".
- Must be in good physical & mental health.
- Must be reliable and dependable.
- Must be able to perform the essential job functions of this job
- Must be current on CPR Certification.
- Must be patient and objective and able to accept constructive criticism.
- Must meet and maintain facility requirements for mandatory education…attend In-Service training and monthly licensed staff meetings.
JOB DUTIES
- Assess and document resident progress in the medical record q-shift as needed.
- Update care plan as needed or notify MDS Coordinate of changes.
- Communicate pertinent information about resident condition and progress to shift report to maintain continuity of care.
- Maintain clean & orderly treatment cart…re-stock items as needed.
- Consults with other license personnel when indicated to determine appropriate treatment and plan of care.
- Follow "Infection Control" Policy & Procedure.
- Maintain oxygen & suction equipment as needed…check at the start of each shift to assure that equipment is ready in an emergency situation.
- Assist with admission & discharge of residents.
- Participate in monthly license staff meetings & mandatory In-Service training.
