Pediatric Registered Nurse (RN)•Cardinal Kids Program Join Carolina Caring's Cardinal Kids team and make a lasting difference in the lives of children and their families. Carolina Caring is seeking a compassionate Pediatric Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Cardinal Kids Pediatric Hospice & Palliative Care Program . In this role, you will provide exceptional, family-centered hospice and palliative nursing care to pediatric patients throughout the counties we serve. As a Pediatric RN, you will coordinate care, develop individualized care plans, and perform comprehensive nursing assessments to ensure comfort, dignity, and the highest quality of life for each child and their family. You will anticipate and assist with symptom management, including pain control, while providing compassionate support throughout every stage of the patient's journey. A key aspect of this position is educating and supporting families while collaborating closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, social workers, chaplains, child life specialists, and the interdisciplinary care team to ensure seamless continuity of care across multiple settings. The Pediatric RN will also contribute to both formal and informal education for interdisciplinary team members to enhance the quality of patient care. At Carolina Caring, our Cardinal Kids Program is dedicated to providing specialized pediatric hospice and palliative care that allows children to receive compassionate, high-quality care wherever they call home. We are committed to supporting not only our patients but also the families who walk alongside them. Work Schedule Monday•Friday | 8:30 AM•5:00
PM Education:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing•bachelor's or master's degree strongly preferred. Must have a current, unrestricted North Carolina nursing license. Must maintain CPR certification.
Experience:
Must have five to seven years of clinical experience to include a minimum of one-year acute hospital experience and two years of hospice/home health experience required. Hospice inpatient facility experience and at least two years supervisory/management health care experience preferred; must have strong understanding of end-of•life decisions and the ability to understand complex equipment and procedures.
