Job Description

Nurse Trainer (RN) Life Visions is looking for a compassionate and knowledgeable Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as a Nurse Trainer . This is a great opportunity for an RN who enjoys teaching, building relationships, and providing meaningful support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The Nurse Trainer provides clinical guidance, staff education, medication oversight, and healthcare coordination while helping ensure the individuals we support receive safe, person-centered care. This position is based in Atkinson, NH and includes a combination of office-based administrative work and travel throughout the community to support individuals and programs. Responsibilities Provide nursing consultation and clinical guidance to staff, individuals, families, and providers. Educate and train staff on medications, health conditions, and specialized medical needs. Support staff with areas such as medication administration, G-tube care, seizure management, diabetes, and other healthcare procedures. Complete medication quality assurance reviews and medication self-administration assessments. Monitor, investigate, and follow up on medication errors and occurrences. Coordinate healthcare needs with physicians, hospitals, specialists, dentists, mental health providers, and other healthcare professionals providing education and training. Maintain accurate medical and nursing documentation in accordance with agency and state requirements. Develop and support individualized health protocols for individuals with complex medical needs. Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and Individual Service Agreement (ISA) meetings as needed. Provide nursing consultation and basic first aid support during emergencies. Available for possible on call responsibilities. Work collaboratively with nursing, clinical, residential, case management, and program teams. Qualifications Current New Hampshire RN license in good standing. He-M 1201 Nurse Trainer Certification preferred, or ability to obtain certification within three months of employment. Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience . Experience with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, dementia, community-based services, public health, behavioral health, or a similar setting preferred. Valid New Hampshire driver's license and reliable transportation. Strong communication, organization, critical thinking, and documentation skills. Comfortable working independently while also being part of an interdisciplinary team. Proficient with Microsoft Office and electronic documentation systems.
