Job Description

Supplemental Health Care is seeking a Registered Nurse Infusion RN to deliver high-quality infusion care across diverse clinical settings. In this role, you'll start and manage IV infusions, monitor patient response, and provide education on therapies and self-care. You'll collaborate with physicians, pharmacies, and care teams to coordinate safe, evidence-based treatment. Responsibilities Provide infusion therapy including IV medications, biologics, and hydration per provider orders Assess patient status, vital signs, and infusion tolerance before, during, and after treatment Start and maintain peripheral and central line IV access using aseptic technique Monitor for and respond to infusion reactions or complications, escalating care as needed Educate patients and families on medications, side effects, and self-care Document assessments, medications, and outcomes accurately in the EMRCoordinate care and communicate with physicians, pharmacy, and care teams Maintain infusion equipment, supplies, and infection control standards Follow organizational, state, and federal nursing and safety regulations Required Skills IV insertion and vascular access management Central line care and maintenance Infusion therapy and pump operation Medication administration and dosage calculation Patient assessment and triage Recognition and management of infusion reactions Electronic Medical Record (EMR) documentation Aseptic and infection control techniques Patient and family education Care coordination and interdisciplinary communication
