Healing Hands Addiction Centers, a premier addiction medical services and behavioral health company based in Crossett AR, provides residential, PHP, IOP, and outpatient services. We have a full-time opportunity for a Medical Office Specialist. The Medical Office Specialist plays a vital role in providing compassionate care and support to individuals undergoing treatment at our residential/outpatient facility. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, patience, and a commitment to delivering high-quality care in a therapeutic environment.
Medical Office Specialist Responsibilities:
Medication Assistance :
Under the direction of the Medical Director, assist with the administration of medication, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to treatment plans. Answering phone, greeting patients Managing the master calendar to ensure that patients are scheduled as appropriate Ensure Providers are scheduled with a smooth workflow Checking patients in and out Handling preauthorization and referrals Verifying insurance eligibility Collecting patient balances Scanning and Routing documents The ideal candidates must be highly organized, reliable, and have excellent people skills. Must be able to multi-task and work independently.
Qualifications:
Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in AR (Required). CPR/First Aid certification (required). Experience in a behavioral health or residential treatment facility is preferred but not required. Medical office experience and familiarity with EMR Systems Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team. Compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach to working with individuals in recovery. Ability to maintain professional boundaries and patient confidentiality at all times. Strong computer skills and ability to use Microsoft Office High school diploma or equivalent.
Office Hours:
Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5PM. 4 days per week in Crossett and 1 day per week in our White Hall location. Attractive salary and company paid Medical/Dental/Vision benefits. Please submit your resume for consideration.
