Prepare patients for DEXA procedures and explain scan preparation and procedures. Ensure accurate patient positioning, scan acquisition, and documentation. Coordinate and track DEXA scans, laboratory testing, and follow-up appointments as directed by providers. Room patients and obtain and document vital signs. Review and update medical history, medications, and allergies in the EHR. Retrieve laboratory results and organize records for provider review. Assist with laboratory coordination, appointment reminders, follow-up scheduling, and communicating provider-approved information to patients. Receive, document, and route medication refill requests to the appropriate licensed provider according to practice protocols. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EHR. Assist patients with non-clinical questions regarding procedures and practice protocols. Maintain patient confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA and practice policies.
