Job Description

Patient Registration Representative (106827) We are seeking a dedicated Patient Registration Representative for a medical clinic in Keauhou. This role is crucial in ensuring smooth patient registration, accurate data collection, and efficient communication within our client's healthcare facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to remain calm under pressure. Hours Full-time, Monday - Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm Location Keauhou, Big Island Pay $25 an hour Responsibilities Performs clerical support functions including filing, scheduling, and documentation of appointments or referrals, completes medical release forms, etc. in the computer system. Pulls and prepares medical records/charts the day before the patient's appointment. Conduct patient interviews to obtain accurate demographic and insurance information. Verify insurance benefits and eligibility for primary and secondary carriers. Enter and update patient information in the computer system. Collect deposits and secure signatures on necessary forms. Process incoming and outgoing mail. Maintain strict confidentiality of all patient and employee information. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent One year of experience in clerical work, data input, customer service, or related fields; preferably in a medical setting. Proficiency in English grammar, spelling, and arithmetic. Proficient typing skills. Strong computer skills, particularly in Windows-based environments. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare procedures preferred. Ability to comply with a pre-employment drug test and State and Federal background check. TB clearance required.
