Job Description
Position Overview Hemisphere Orthopedic Center, located in the vibrant community of Silver Spring, Maryland, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our growing team. This full-time position focuses on providing high-quality, personalized physical therapy services to patients with orthopedic conditions. Work Environment The position is set in an outpatient office within our Silver Spring facility, a well-equipped space designed to facilitate effective rehabilitation for our patients. Collaborating closely with physicians and support staff, you will have access to state-of-the-art rehabilitation equipment and technologies, enabling you to provide the highest standard of care. Our custom-designed treatment rooms and open therapy areas foster direct interaction with patients, allowing for hands-on treatment and patient education in a comfortable setting. Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough evaluations of patients presenting with orthopedic issues, utilizing your clinical skills to assess their capabilities and limitations. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that incorporate various therapeutic modalities such as manual therapy, exercise regimes, and modalities to enhance pain relief and functionality. Utilize tools like goniometers and dynamometers to measure and track patient progress, ensuring data-driven adjustments to treatment plans when necessary. Provide education to patients and their families on exercises, treatment protocols, and rehabilitation processes to empower them in their recovery. Document patient interactions comprehensively, ensuring accurate records of treatment plans, progress notes, and outcome measures. Regularly reassess and refine treatment strategies based on patient feedback and clinical outcomes to ensure optimal recovery trajectories. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians and rehabilitation specialists, to coordinate comprehensive care plans and facilitate successful transitions from therapy to daily activities. Serve as a mentor for new graduates and less experienced therapists, sharing best practices and enhancing the quality of therapy provided. Patient Population / Client Focus Your primary focus will be on patients recovering from various orthopedic surgeries, musculoskeletal injuries, and chronic pain conditions. By employing evidence-based treatment methods, you will address issues impacting their mobility and functionality while also educating them about preventive strategies to avoid future injuries. Qualifications Possess a Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution. Hold a valid State License to practice as a Physical Therapist in Maryland. Demonstrated clinical experience in orthopedic rehabilitation is preferred, though we welcome applications from new graduates eager to learn and grow. Strong communication skills are essential for effectively interacting with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams. Proficiency in documenting patient progress and utilizing electronic health records (EHR) systems. Preferred Experience Two years of experience in an orthopedic setting is highly desirable. Familiarity with outpatient therapy procedures and protocols. Previous experience with assistive devices and other rehabilitation technologies. Compensation and Benefits Our competitive salary range for this position is
USD 90,000
to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
