Riemer Eye Center is seeking a motivated, compassionate, and dependable Optician & Ophthalmic Eye Care Technician to serve as a key member in our Reed City location. About the Role As the Optician & Ophthalmic Eye Care Technician, you will be responsible for creating an exceptional patient experience while partnering directly with the physician to ensure smooth, efficient, and high-quality patient care. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, confident, self-motivated, and enjoys being a trusted team member who can take initiative and make decisions. You will have the opportunity to: Work directly with the optometrist to support daily patient care. Take ownership of the patient experience from check-in through completion of care. Independently manage daily clinical and optical responsibilities. Serve as a leader and positive example for the center. Build strong relationships with patients and the community. Help ensure the Reed City location operates efficiently and successfully. Welcome patients and create a warm, professional experience. Obtain patient histories and prepare patients for examinations. Perform ophthalmic testing and diagnostic procedures. Assist the physician with patient care and clinical needs. Educate patients regarding testing, procedures, and treatment plans. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation. Ensure quality, efficiency, and exceptional patient care standards. Assist patients in selecting eyewear that meets their vision needs, lifestyle, and personal preferences. Perform frame selection, measurements, adjustments, and fittings. Educate patients on lens options, coatings, and eyewear benefits. Dispense prescription eyewear. Provide outstanding follow-up service. Create lasting relationships with patients and families.

Previous ophthalmic technician and/or optical experience is preferred.
