We are looking for a reliable, trustworthy, and motivated individual who is interested in a long-term, permanent position and wants to grow with our practice. This is a multitasking position. We are looking for someone who can become an important part of the team, learn different aspects of medical office operations, and take on increasing responsibilities as the practice grows. Job Duties & Responsibilities Assist with the daily operations of the medical office and help keep the clinic organized and running efficiently. Serve as a connection between the clinic and the billing/credentialing company, following up on billing issues, insurance matters, documentation, and other requests. Assist with front-desk responsibilities when needed, including answering phones, scheduling appointments, checking patients in and out, and communicating with patients. Assist the Medical Assistant and clinical team when needed. Help with insurance verification, prior authorizations, referrals, procedure scheduling, and follow-up on ordered imaging or testing. Follow up on outstanding tasks and make sure they are completed in a timely manner. Communicate professionally with patients, physicians, insurance companies, billing staff, and other medical offices. Maintain accurate patient information and documentation in the electronic medical record. Help identify and improve office workflow as the practice continues to grow. Be willing to multitask and assist in different areas of the clinic based on daily needs. Learn new responsibilities and gradually take on a larger role within the practice. Qualifications Fluent spoken and written English with strong professional communication skills. Good typing and computer skills are required. Reliable, trustworthy, responsible, and dependable. Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask effectively in a growing medical practice. Strong follow-through and ability to complete assigned responsibilities. Able to work independently while also working well as part of a team. Comfortable communicating with patients and handling confidential medical information professionally. Medical Assistant experience with certification is preferred. Knowledge or experience in medical office administration and clinic operations is preferred. Familiarity with healthcare policies and procedures, HIPAA, insurance requirements, and medical documentation is preferred. Experience with EMR/EHR systems, medical billing, insurance verification, and prior authorizations is a plus. High school diploma or GED required. Associate degree with relevant medical office or healthcare experience is preferred. Medical Assistant training or certification is a plus. Previous experience is valuable, but reliability, communication skills, willingness to learn, good work ethic, and long-term commitment are especially important to us.
